Tuesday, Dec. 27
Good morning, Players;
The good news is that our forecast is improving to allow assessment and work on our clay courts.
The bad news is that they remain unplayable, AND we’ve got some staff members under the weather.
With this in mind, our Junior clinics will not take place today. We hope to conduct them on Thursday and possibly Friday.
Our hard courts are available for lessons and member use, so please contact our shop to make reservations or more information.
Thanks,
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports

Compliments of the Season, Players;
In sub freezing temperatures currently, our CLAY COURTS WILL BE CLOSED FOR PLAY TODAY as ‘freeze/thaw’ will occur, leading to conditions that are potentially dangerous to players and our courts.
Matt is under the weather, and I will return to assess the courts by early afternoon.
Daily updates will continue this week regarding courts and programs.
Stay warm and enjoy your holidays,
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports

Happy Christmas Eve Day, Players!
Frigid temperatures are best endured indoors… It’s not a day for outdoor tennis in 13 degrees!!
Our courts are frozen and will likely remain so for a few days.
Please look out for the next posting and update on Dec. 26.
Happy Holidays to all,
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports

Friday, Dec. 23

Cool and dry now as the radar shows rain soon to arrive followed by high winds and colder temperatures….
It is unlikely that our courts will be playable, but interested players are encouraged to contact our shop after 10:00am for updates.
Please stay warm and safe!
Happy Holidays,
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports

Correction – Courts Are Playable Thursday Morning
I am in Charlottesville and was mistaken in my previous post, very sorry for my error!
I have been informed that conditions currently allow play as of now. Rain is on the way but … it’s not like Cville yet!!
Our Clinic will not take place but a few courts can be used until more rain arrives.
Humbly,
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports

We have moved our Teen Clinic to 1:00pm and Junior Red & Orange Ball Clinic to 2:00pm on the hard courts. Please call our shop to register for these.

Monday, Dec. 19
Good frosty morning, Players!
Currently below freezing, courts 7-10 will offer the most likely playable surface later this morning. Other courts will thaw and be too wet for use.
Our shop will be closed, but Matt & I will be present and can refer players to safe and suitable courts.
Tonight’s clinic WILL NOT take place due to cold temperatures. Please stay tuned for updates on this week’s program.
Stay warm ..
Davy Hairston – Director of Racquet Sports
